A joyful treat for children — and a peaceful moment for grown-ups.
Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December 2026
Step aboard and discover the calm of the canal at Christmas-time. As you glide through the water on a relaxing 35-minute cruise, your little ones will be captivated by enchanting seasonal stories.
Afterwards, your children will enjoy a special visit to Father Christmas, who’ll be waiting with a gift just for them. Don’t forget to explore our beautifully decorated Canal Centre Christmas garden — perfect for photos and festive memories.
On board, you’ll be welcomed with delicious seasonal refreshments:
Adults: hot drinks, non-alcoholic mulled wine, and mince pies
Children: squash and biscuits
Prices: £10 children, £7.50 adult.
Times: Boats run hourly from 10:00 am with the final departure at 3:00 pm.
Sorry, we are unlikely to have spaces on the day so pre-booked tickets only!
Limited places. If you cannot get a place, please email events@rwt.org.uk because, if there is sufficient demand, we could add another trip on Pride on 23rd at 1.30 pm.
