Pirates Ahoy!

Adults dressed as pirates

On Wednesday and Thursday during half-term mini pirates invaded the canal at Batchworth!

RWT volunteers, dressed as scurvy pirates welcomed 140 adults and children to the event. During a 40 minute boat trip, the children enjoyed swashbuckling stories while parents relaxed and enjoyed the passing scenery,

Afterwards there was a fun filled treasure hunt around the site at Batchworth Lock, with each child receiving a reward at the end.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event; one parent said that it was excellent and lovely to find something fun and different for the children to do.
